ITY stands for Interlock Twist Yarn – we use the abbreviation because the full name doesn’t really tell you anything about the fabric. A quick way to describe this base is “poly knit”. ITY is very similar to DTY – is great for summer because it is light, has great drape, and is cool to the touch. This fabric is available in a range of prints.
Garment suggestions: This fabric is wonderful for dresses, tops, skirts, pants, shorts and kimono style cardigans.
